Like many other churches today, we are struggling to make ends meet on a weekly basis. Although we have had many successful fundraising events during the past year, the money raised merely goes towards our weekly expenditure and so we have little left to put towards the cost of major fabric repairs to our historic church. Recently, we had to repair two of our roofs at a cost of over £11,000 and now we are having repair work done on the downspouts and the vestry.
There are several ways to donate money to the church. One way is to donate weekly via the yellow envelope scheme. If you pay sufficient tax during the year and complete a Gift Aid Declaration form, we can claim back the tax on all your donations (at 25%). Similarly, you can make a donation via the collection plate and if you use one of the white Gift Aid envelopes and fill in your address, we are able to reclaim the tax.

An easy way of raising funds for the church is to visit the website www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/glossopchurch which gives information on how you can raise money for the church, just by shopping online.

It won't cost you anymore to shop via the Easy Fundraising app but will help raise money for the church just through your usual spending habits.

You can donate by setting up a Standing Order with your bank to give on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.
To set this up, speak to Christine, our Treasurer, for more information.
