We are a welcoming inclusive and vibrant church in the catholic tradition of the Church of England and set in the historic village of Old Glossop on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District. We seek to follow Jesus' way of prayer, compassion and justice and celebrate the different cycles and seasons of the church’s year.
We are active in our community and try to live out our faith and values in all aspects of our lives and occupations. We seek to work in support of and in partnership with other groups such as schools, uniformed organisations, community and arts groups.

Glossop Parish Church has robust policies developed nationally by the Church of England and promoted by the Diocese of Derby.
Protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of us all, whether they live in our communities or are part of our Christian family. It is central to the Gospel that we care for all those in need and, at the same time, make our churches a safe place of sanctuary for those looking for help and support. Achieving a balance between those who pose a risk to others and those who have already been harmed, can be difficult sometimes and the Diocese has developed a range of measures to support and help achieve high standards in safeguarding. The Diocese works in partnership with statutory agencies (where needed) to ensure that congregations are safe and that parishes act within the law and good practice guidelines for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

​Our parish of Glossop: All Saints is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
